Our Mission

At the heart of our mission lies the desire to reshape the narrative surrounding the Cane Corso breed. Despite their robust appearance and instinctual protective nature, these dogs are frequently misjudged as aggressive or unmanageable. Our experiences with Gus and Mia, however, reveal a different story; they embody the gentle, affectionate, and loyal traits that define true Cane Corsos. By sharing our journey and highlighting their endearing qualities, we aim to dismantle these misconceptions and foster a more positive perception of this noble breed. Ultimately, we aspire to cultivate a community that not only appreciates the Cane Corso but also celebrates responsible breeders who contribute to the breed's legacy. Together, we can change the way the world sees these magnificent companions, proving that love and loyalty lie within their hearts.

About us

In 2020, our family of four, soon to be five, embarked on a journey to find the perfect guardian dog. After extensively researching various breeds, including German Shepherds, Dogue de Bordeaux, English Mastiffs, Rottweilers, and Bull Mastiffs, we were fortunate to discover Fortuna Cane Corso in Fontana, CA. Meeting Joe, the breeder, was a pivotal moment; we were immediately impressed by his genuine care for his dogs and their friendly demeanor around children and strangers. This wonderful experience led us to bring home Gus, our beloved Cane Corso.

Gus has a wonderful temperament; he is the ultimate couch potato, relishing in leisurely walks but equally content to lounge around and soak up affection from everyone he meets. His gentle and loving nature makes him a cherished member of our expanding family.

Thanks to Gus, in 2023, we decided to get him an annoying sister named Mia. When searching for Mia, we contacted Joe again, but he didn't have a litter available. That’s when we turned to celebrity dog breeder Max Tran from Maximos Kennels. Max was great and genuine, answering tons of questions before settling on Mia. To this day, Max still answers any questions we have.

Mia is the complete opposite of Gus, full of energy and always looking to explore and get into trouble. She is jealous of love and pets, and if you show her no attention, she will definitely let you know.

Through our journey with Gus and Mia, we have fallen in love with the Cane Corso breed and are dedicated to sharing their stories, adventures, and the joy they bring to our lives.
